The Stoner Symposium A Fortnight +4 of AR Technical Training

👉The event will take place at School of the American Rifle, Elkton, MD, September 7th through the 24th of 2025.

👍Colt, LaRue, School of the American Rifle, Sons of Liberty Gunworks, Windham Weaponry, Ned Christiansen/Michiguns, LMT, Knights Armament, and IWI.

👉No, the SOTAR Class from this event is one I’m holding for all of the instructors who are participating in the event. It’s my way of showing my appreciation for participating.

👉No, this is an AR-15 Training event. Direct Impingement/Internal Piston AR’s only. Some Classes may discuss their large frame pattern guns.

👉Some companies require you to bring their brand of AR to attend (LaRue, LMT, KAC), some companies provide a training rifle for your bench (IWI, Windham, & Colt), and some companies allow any brands for the class (SOLGW, SOTAR, & Ned Christensen/Michiguns).

👉No, any U.S. Citizens who are not prohibited from owning/possessing firearms are welcome. If you don’t have a FFL, or Carry Permit you may have to get a background check performed at an additional cost of 20 dollars.

👉Each class can be booked separately and the cost of each class varies depending on what the manufacturer requires. If one were to book ALL of the classes, the cost would exceed 8k.

👉I’ll be in the red, but it’s a worthwhile endeavor.. I’m doing this because I believe in technical firearm education.

👉The class seats will open up some time next week. I’m going to be up front. SOTAR Alumni will have an advantage in getting a seat.

📣 #1 I will make an announcement in the SOTAR Society Alumni Group and I’ll send an email blast to all SOTAR Alumni around 7 P.M. E.S.T. on a day I select. Class Seats will be hidden from the general public.

📣 #2 The following day at 9 A.M. E.S.T. I’ll make any available seats visible to the general public and make a post here, SOTAR Society, SOTAR Armorer’s Enhancement Group on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

👉Yes, if the companies or instructors are interested, I plan to do this every year. If you take a SOTAR Class you’ll have an advantage next time we do this.

👉Yes, I’ll either add a waiting list to our website or compile names myself.

👉There are several reasons.
1) 18 days of non stop classes is a lot.
2) Some companies don’t offer Armorer’s Classes or have active Armorers Classes so I didn’t ask.
3) I invited Greg Sully of Defensive Edge, Ken Elmore of Specialized Armament, and Noveske. They ignored me.
4) Some instructors & Manufacturers will only teach Law Enforcement & Military. This would include LWRCI, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Springfield Armory, Stag, RRA, and FNH.
If these manufacturers change their policy I’ll gladly welcome them to future events.
