This Kit includes everything you need to Tap 5 AR15 Lower Receivers to have a “Captured Takedown Spring” feature.
1 – Tap Handle
1 – 4-40 Tap
1 – 5ML Bottle Aluminum Tap Magic
5 – 4-40 Set Screws
1 – Allen Key
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) Use a Tap Handle when using the Tap
2) Go VERY slow when using this Tap. The maximum depth you want to tap is .450
3) Do not exceed 10 uses for a the 4-40 Tap. Small taps can break off with heavy use.
4) You need to clip the Takedown Detent Spring to use this Set Screw
5) Not all Lower Receivers use a 4-40 Set Screw. If you use the wrong Set Screw it will seize up in the Lower Receiver and potentially damage your Lower Receiver.
6) The only threadlocker we suggest for this set screw is Vibratite VC-3.
