Want more corrosion resistance than standard phosphate Set Screws?
These 10-32 “18-8 Stainless Steel” Knurled Tip Gas Block Set Screws may be the ticket. If you have a Set Screw Gas Block, these are the best corrosion resistant Set Screws to use.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
#1 These screws are a ONE TIME use. If you loosen them the knurled tips wont grab the same.
#2 Stainless steel has a high chance of galling (cold fusing) while being installed/removed. To prevent this, we recommend using Antisieze or Loctite 272. We DO NOT RECOMMEND using Rocksett or Hot Lock with Stainless Screws.
#3 Not all Gas Blocks use a 10-32 Set Screw. Most Set Screw Gas Blocks are 10-32, but not all. If you attempt to use these in a gas block that is not 10-32, it will seize up and strip the screw.
#4 Do not exceed 20 Inch Pounds for these screws.
